Terms, privacy, and what this does not claim.
Three documents. The disclaimer is the one that matters most, because Kaalchakra computes traditional readings and it is important to be exact about what that is and is not.
Terms of use
Who provides this
Kaalchakra is operated by Aitele Research LLP (“we”, “us”). By opening the dial or using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use it.
What you may do
You may use Kaalchakra for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, free of charge. You may quote or screenshot what it shows, with attribution to Kaalchakra.
What you may not do
- Present its output as professional advice — medical, legal, financial, psychological or otherwise — to anyone.
- Sell readings generated by it, or run a paid service on top of it, without our written permission.
- Attempt to disrupt the service for other people, or use automated means to submit to the contact form.
- Remove or obscure the attribution to Aitele Research LLP.
The software is provided as it is
Kaalchakra is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be available, uninterrupted, or free of error.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aitele Research LLP is not liable for any loss or damage — direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or otherwise — arising from your use of Kaalchakra or from any decision you take on the basis of anything it shows you. Decisions you make are yours.
Accuracy of the computation
The astronomy is computed to a stated standard and is checkable, and the page on accuracy sets out exactly how it is checked. That is a claim about arithmetic, not about outcomes. No part of it is a claim that the interpretations are true or that predicted events will occur. See the disclaimer.
Changes
We may change Kaalchakra or these terms. The date above records when these terms last changed. Continuing to use it after a change means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Patna, Bihar have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Privacy
Birth data
Name, date, time and place of birth are entered by you and used to compute the
chart in your own browser. They are stored only in that browser’s
localStorage, under the key kaalchakra.people.v1, so the
dial can reopen with the same person. They are not sent to us, not sent to
any third party, and we hold no copy and no account for you. Clearing your
browser’s site data deletes them, and we cannot recover them for you.
What we cannot see
Because the computation happens in your browser, we have no way of knowing whose chart you opened, what it said, or that you opened one at all. There is no account, no server-side database, and no profile of you.
Breath logs and settings
Any breath entries you record for Swasthya, and your dial settings, are stored in the same browser storage on the same terms. They are yours and stay on the device.
The contact form — the one exception
When you submit the contact form, the name, email address, topic, optional location and message you typed are transmitted to our email provider, Resend (resend.com), which delivers two messages: one to our team inbox and an acknowledgement to you. That is the only time anything you enter leaves your device. No birth data is included, and the form does not have access to it.
- Purpose: to read your message and reply to it.
- Retention: the message stays in our mail inbox as ordinary correspondence. Ask us and we will delete it.
- Sharing: only with Resend, as the processor that delivers the mail. We do not sell or share it with anyone else.
- Anti-abuse: your network address is used transiently, in memory, to limit how many messages one sender can submit in ten minutes. It is not stored and not written to any log we keep.
Fonts and hosting
This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, so opening it makes a request to Google’s servers, which will see your network address as any web request does. The pages themselves are served as static files. We set no advertising cookies, run no analytics, and do not track you across sites.
Your rights
Most data-protection rights — access, correction, erasure, portability — concern data a company holds about you. We hold none, other than an email you chose to send us. For that email, write to hello@aiteleresearch.com and we will show you what we have or delete it.
Children
Kaalchakra is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. Since we collect nothing at all beyond a contact message, this is mostly a formality — but if you believe a child has sent us a message, tell us and we will delete it.
Disclaimer
What is verifiable, and what is not
Two very different things sit on the same dial, and we try never to blur them:
- The astronomy is checkable. Positions, rise and set times, the timezone history and the divisional arithmetic can be checked against an independent source, and we publish how they are checked.
- The interpretation is tradition. Phaladesh, the chakra overlay, pragati, the upaya, the tattva schemes, the composite scores — these come from classical texts or, where stated, from our own synthesis. They are not empirically validated and are not presented as scientific findings. Where the sources disagree we show that they disagree; where a layer is our own invention we label it as such.
Health
Swasthya does not diagnose. It does not name a disease, does not grade severity, and cannot tell you whether you are ill. It reports a classical dosha tendency and a region of the body, alongside whatever you recorded in your own breath log. If you have a symptom or a health concern, see a doctor. Do not delay medical care, start or stop any treatment, or change a medication because of anything on this dial. If a single-sided breath run is flagged, that is a prompt to ask an ENT clinician, not a finding.
Lifespan
Kaalchakra does not compute a lifespan and will not give you one. Classical ayurdaya methods disagree with each other and nothing can adjudicate between them, so we refuse the calculation rather than dress a guess in arithmetic. Maraka periods are shown where the tradition names them; a date is not.
Decisions
Kaarya windows, Ghatana periods, muhurta and the Jeevan band are traditional timings. Treat them as one input among many, never as instruction. Do not use them to make medical, legal, financial, marital, or safety-critical decisions. Consult a qualified professional for those.
Remedies
Upaya — mantra, daan, seva, gemstones — are reported as the tradition prescribes them. They are not a treatment for anything. Gemstones in particular are listed last and with caution, because they are the remedy most often sold to people who do not need them. We sell nothing and recommend no vendor.
No professional relationship
Using Kaalchakra creates no doctor–patient, advisor–client, or astrologer–consultant relationship between you and Aitele Research LLP.
